In the run up to arguably the two most important years in the Club’s history and as it further develops its strategic marketing policy, the Royal Southern, whose Admiral is HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has appointed Peta Stuart-Hunt as its Press Officer to exclusively co-ordinate all of its future media output.

PR Works will assist the Club’s marketing team in shaping and directing its media and communications output, covering the varied and lively programme of news and events leading up to and throughout its 175th. anniversary celebrations in 2012. In confirming the appointment, Royal Southern Vice Commodore, Mark Inkster, commented:

“The Club is on the verge of the two biggest and most important years in its distinguished history with an ambitious and exciting programme of events that is already well advanced in its planning.

“Peta brings an added dimension to our team, and she offers us not only her immense experience in the leisure marine industry but one of the best track records for getting quality results with creative flair and sense of humour. It's a perfect fit for what we are looking to achieve here.”

The Island Sailing Club appoints a new Press Officer for the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race

The Island Sailing Club (ISC) has announced the appointment of Peta Stuart-Hunt as its Press Officer for the 2010 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race. Speaking on behalf of the ISC, the Club Secretary, Lea Bennett, said: “We are delighted that Peta has taken on this important role and we look forward to establishing a long and fruitful relationship with her.”
